Waste to Energy

Steinbeis India formally launches Training Services in Waste-to-Energy

From being a long established player in Waste to Energy Technology in the Indian market, Steinbeis India formally graduated to providing Training Services in Waste-to-Energy. We have understood that it is not only getting the right systems and processes set up, but Indian players would want to familiarize themselves with this new form of Technology. Previously, such training requests were only considered upon request.

We are proud to announce that we will now conduct in-house training programs for companies who require this. We are also open to conduct training programs for any group of professionals who may come together. This is made possible through our experts in Waste-to-Energy.

On the same line, we received a Training enquiry from a Hyderabad based established company which is expanding into the new vertical of Waste-to-Energy. We similarly look forward to empowering more organizations and individuals in this new Technology and together help them succeed in this promising business segment.

Agreement with Indo-Dutch Company

Steinbeis India signed an agreement with its client company to set up a Waste to Energy plant in Bengaluru (Bangalore). In essence, it was an agreement with the Technology Providers in Europe. Aside from simple provision of the Technology, the European Waste to Energy companies are also to provide the equipment for setting up the first line of 100 Tonnes Per Day.

Steinbeis India were the initial point of contact for the client company. With our understanding of the technology, we could present a concise summary to the client and get their attention of the potential of the technology. The technology holds huge promise as it is patented and employs a unique form of improvisation to ensure uniform heat distribution (in the chamber).

It is a momentous event for this unique Swiss Technology to get inaugurated through this plant in India. This holds huge promise for the client who is setting up more Waste to Energy plants and also for the rest of the Waste to Energy market in India, which is huge and largely untapped.

Foundation stone laying ceremony for Nexus Novus Waste to Energy plant

It was a momentous occasion for Nexus Novus, our client company to inaugurate its first Waste to Energy plant with our technology. For us in Steinbeis India, who facilitated them by providing the right technology, it was an equally joyful moment.

The grand event was held in the presence of Shri K.J. George, Minister for Bangalore (Bengaluru) Development and Town Planning and 2 officials from the Netherlands Embassy in India.

The plant is going to be of a large size 600 Tonnes per Day and will go a long way in alleviating the waste disposal crisis of Bangalore. From the perspective of Mr. Rutger De Bruijn, the CEO of Nexus Novus, our client company, it was another milestone of Dutch-Indian collaboration.

The unique Pyro-Gasification Technology from Switzerland will ensure that waste of the Indian kind is treated well and thoroughly. It will give the maximum possible electrical output to the client and almost no production of harmful  gases. It is a big technological leap over simple incineration technology, which has been used widely in India till date.

It was after this that the client decided to make a trip to Europe and inspect the working plant in Italy.

Gulf companies for our Waste-to-Energy Assistance

A milestone for our company was achieved this week when we received 2 enquiries from Oman in the span of one week- One requesting for consultancy services & feasibility studies preparation and the other requesting for our training services in Waste to Energy preparation.

It was a realization for us that this technology expertise is still not widely prevalent in India and we in Steinbeis India are one of the early movers in this technology. In the Gulf too Waste to Enegry is at an infancy. It is likely that these companies desire qualified Waste to Energy expertise at a cost effective price.

It was a proud moment for Steinbeis India to address their queries and negotiations on the offer to be presented continued into February.
